Appeal Court Rejects General’s Petition

The appeal court today dismissed the petition filed by General Sarath Fonseka to suspend the second Court Martial instituted against him. The three-member bench of the Court of Appeal rejected the appeal without examination. The Appeal Court stated that there were no sufficient reasons provided for the suspension of the second Court Martial.
