Font size: Decrease font Enlarge font

The co-organizer of the UNP for Kaduwela and former Parliamentarian Jayanthe Katagoda has decided to contest the general election from the Democratic National Alliance (DNA). Accordingly, Mr. Katagoda signed nomination papers at the office of DNA in the presence of the General Secretary of DNA Vijithe Herath.

Mr. Katagoda said he could have contested the election from the UNF but took the decision to contest from the DNA to bring victory to Gen. Sarath Fonseka who stood up against fraud and corruption of the government. He said he would continue to be a member of the UNP in spite of contesting from the DNA.
